Hi folks,

I am back on the blog with something exciting! I have waaay too many stencils and there isn't an easy way to store them. It's all a mess as I store them the same way I store my stamps and dies.... Well, until now! Taylor came to rescue and designed new Simple Storage Stencil Sleeves for 6×6 and Mini Slim stencil sizes along with the new Simple Storage Binders. They also come with Stencil Storage Stickers that you can order to label the stencils that was released in 2019, 2020, and now 2021! I am also using the slimline storage binder to store half finished projects and the 6x6 one for leftover foils!

Right now through 11:59PM CT Sunday, February 6th, when you buy more, you save more on stencils! Buy any 4 stencils to save 10%, buy 5-8 stencils to save 15%, and buy 9+ stencils to save 20%! This promotion is limited to in stock items and excludes the Create-in-Quads collection. It's a great time to pick up those stencil designs that have been on your wish list and stencils make great gifts for your crafty friends!

For my first card, I used the new mini slimline Tidal stencil to create a fun sea background inspired by the name of the stencil. For the 'land', I ink blended using Candy Corn and Lollipop. For the 'sea', I used Cookie Monster, Blue Raspberry and Blueberry. I cut each of these portions separately and placed them on top of Buttercream cardstock + Toffee cardstock mat. For the sun, I cut a circle using pineapple cardstock and added rays using a yellow color pencil! Finished it off with a sentiment from 'Watt's Up' as it was fitting!

I finally got a chance to play with my minc laminator with this card! I first applied a layer of glitter grab using the new Chantilly stencil and waited for it to dry completely clear. This is a crucial step! Then, I ran it through my minc using Deco Foil Enchanted Rose foil and trimmed off the bottom at an angle and placed it on another piece of oreo cardstock. For my sentiment, I used the Signature Thanks die and die cut the top of the sentiment using TE's Sticky sheet placed on oreo cardstock. For the backer, I used Oreo cardstock. I then removed the top part of the Sticky sheet and rubbed my left over foil over it so that my 'Thanks' also looks foiled. I then placed the foiled Thanks and backer on top of my foiled base! That's it :) I absolutely love how the foil turned out!

My next card uses a technique that I have been wanting to try out for a while - Colorblocking! This isn't exactly my style, but I love how This turned out! I first started off by cutting two strips of Candy Corn and Lollipop cardstock. I then ink blended the candy corn cardstock using Sweet Potato ink and Braided Diamond stencil. Then, I cut another strip of Cupcake and Pineapple cardstock and die cut a heart such that the center of the heart die is aligned with the 'meeting point' of the two cardstocks. I also cut a couple of smaller hearts to surround the larger heart :) Then, I die cut a bunch of On Repeat - Birthday and pasted them on the Pineapple side of the heart and cut around the edge of the heart :)

My first card is inspired by an art gallery wall filled with Old Masters paintings. I first started off with an A2 sized cardstock of Mulled Wine as my card base aka gallery wall. Then, I diecut frames for the paintings using Focal Frame die, Circle Window frame and Square Window frame using Dijon cardstock. Then, I stamped and colored images from the kit using a color palette that I think best represents an 'Old Master'. I finished it off by using a thin strip for the wall hanging and embossed sentiments from the kit and Simple Strips - Man Myth Legend.

My next card is inspired by what seems to be everyone's favorite tv show but.... something that I haven't watched yet - Friends! The frame die just reminded me of the quintessential yellow peephole frame! I started off by ink blending the Dotted Diamonds stencil and the edges of Plum Punch cardstock. I then diecut a yellow frame using Pineapple cardstock and added a peephole using a black and white gel pen. I then added a dog and a chick to represent the White Dog and the episode, 'The One with a Chick and a Duck'. Finally, I added a sentiment from the set and added the circle dots just like the font in teh show using TE Tiny Diamonds.

Hi folks,

I am back on the blog with another fun release from TE! This time, Taylor is releasing some products from Stamp Joy and a bunch of monthly freebies with new coordinating products. So let's get started?

My first card uses something that I have been waiting for Taylor to release for months! Strip Dies! I love creating my own stripped backgrounds, so this makes it so much easier. For my first card, I decided to paper weave! I can't remember the last time I did this. Probably 4th grade? But it's so much fun to do it as an adult too LOL! I first started off by die cutting strips in in size 1/8th using gold card stock and 1/4th using Lollipop, Candy Corn, Pineapple, Granny Smith and Cookie Monster. I then weaved them by leaving some space in between for some extra drama! You will notice that the weaving isn't even especially with the gold strips. This is because I decided to add the gold strips after weaving the colored cardstock as I felt that it was missing something, and I was too lazy to redo the weaving. Nevertheless, I think it turned out well. Later, I added a border using toffee cardstock and Stitched Framed Stacklets 1. Finally, I added heat embossed sentiments from Love & Hugs and Mini Strips - Watt's Up?

Supply List:

My next card uses the Bold Branches coordinating stamp and die. I first started off by stamping and coloring different leaves from the set. For the thin foliage, I hear embossed it directly on Blueberry cardstock using gold embossing powder. As I didn't want the white border around the stamped images, I colored the outline using blue copic marker and added extra details using a gold gel pen. Then, I prepared the base by ink blending the edges of Blueberry cardstock using blue corn ink and splattered some gold paint using Gansai Tambi Starry colors set. Finally, I added a sentiment from Love & Hugs and added some gorgeous gold drops to finish off the card!

Supply List:

My last card is quite simple to recreate. I started off by creating a striped background using leftover strips from my first card (no particular pattern here!). Then, I ink blended the balloons using Lollipop, Jelly Donut, Candy Corn, Pineapple, Cookie Monster and Granny Smith dye inks. I used the same inks to stamp the insides of the balloons and the stems using the coordinating stamp set. Then, I splattered some more fold, silver and pearl drops using the new Gansai Tambi starry colors set! Finally, added a sentiment from Mini Strips - Donut Worry.

Hi folks,

I am back on the blog with another fun post showcasing the new Valentine's Treat release from Taylored Expressions with so many cute and simple ways to decorate and present your tiny gifts and goodies :)

My first treats are these super cute lollipop holders made using the new Penguin Hugs die set. I combined them with a sentiment from Itty Bitty Sentiments - Valentine heat embossed on a heart (actually a wing!) from Critter Clips - Valentine.

My next project is these super Polka Dot Kraft bags that I decorated by stamping a bunch of hearts from Itty Bitty Sentiments - Valentine in the tiny circles using Lollipop dye ink. I also added a Critter from Critter Clips - Valentine and closed them using embroidery floss and a stamped sentiment on Itty Bitty Tags - Halloween!

For these super adorable Treat Totes, I used the pre cut totes now available in store. For the one on the left, I created a see-through opening using acetate and Heart Stacklet dies. For the one on the left, I diecut the front of the tote using Stitched With Love cutting plate. For both the bags, I recommend die cutting them before folding! The tiny tags from Foil It tags - Valentine are just the perfect size for these bags :)

That's it folks. I hope these projects inspire you to try something new!

Hi folks,

I am back on the blog with more inspiration for this year's TE Valentine's Day themed release. Get ready for the pink/purple/red overload!

My first card is one of my favs from the release. I like to showcase the versatility of the products so I used a couple of products from the release to make a card for my Mom that could be used for any occasion :) I stamped and colored a bunch of images from Donut Days using copics. I also added extra details using a white gel pen and heat embossed some of the toppings using a white embossing powder. For the card base, I ink blended the edges of Strawberry Milkshake cardstock using Lollipop ink and also used the Sprinkles rotating stencil to add some sprinkles to the background. Then, I heat embossed On the Block - Mom on Jelly Donut and added some sentiments from Mini Strips - Donut Worry on Cookie Monster cardstock to finish off the card!

Supply List:

My next card uses the Gus and Gertie - Best Buds stamp set. I ink blended a night sky using Oreo, Blueberry, Blue Raspberry, Lollipop and Plum Punch dye inks and sprinkled some white paint for the stars! I finished off the card by stamping a sentiment from Love & Hugs in Plum Punch and added some more from Mini Strips - Watt's Up?

Supply List:

My next card is super easy to create. I ink blended the edges of an A2 sized cardstock using Peaches and Cream and Pink Champagne. I stamped Love Lights using Lollipop and ink blended the stencils from the combo using Jelly Donut and Lollipop. I added some extra details a white gel pen cox why not? I finished off the card by heat embossing a sentiment from Love & Hugs and added some more from Mini Strips - Watt's Up?

Supply List:

My final card uses the new Chip and Charlie Valentine stamp. I created a city background for the stamp set by ink blending Blue Raspberry and Granny Smith for the sky and added the city scape by die cutting the Downtown Border die using Blue Raspberry. For the grass, I used Granny Smith cardstock. I finished off the card by heat embossing a sentiment from Love & Hugs and added some more from Mini Strips - Donut Worry.

Supply List:

That's it folks! I hope these projects inspire you to create your own awesome and cute cards using this week's release!

Hi folks,

I am back on the blog with another fun release from TE! I love how the new Create in Quad stencils make it super easy to mass produce cards! TE has another stencil to add to the Collection: Snowflakes :))) I have a bunch of cards to show you all today. These are super easy to make using a few inks and happy mediums.

My first cards use Snow Cube as the base. I first ink blended the snowflakes using stencil 1 and 2 with lollipop, strawberry milkshake, jelly donut, plum punch, lavendar glaze, cookie monster and blueberry dye inks. For stencil 3, I used some happy medium in gold and for #4 using peaches and cream dye ink. I also went over stencil #2 again using iridescent happy medium for the extra sparkle!  I then matted the ink blended cardbase on jelly donut, cookie monster, plum punch and lollipop cardstock and placed it on A2 sized toffee cardstock. Finally, I added a sentiment by heat embossing the Winter Blessings stamp or Get Cozy stamp on colored cardstock.

Supply List:

My next set of cards uses colored cardstock matted on top of toffee cardstock. I started off by die cutting Poblano Pepper, Lime zest, Blue Raspberry and Watermelon cardstock using petite scalloped rectangle dies. I then ink blended the snowflakes using matching dye ink and sugar cube ink. For stencil #3 and #4, I used gold and iridescent happy medium and finished it off by adding heat embossed sentiments!
