Hi folks,
Taylored Expressions has a new release out and it is all about making interactive cards! The new Theatre Fold gives you ample space to create a 3D scene and it is perfect for anyone who loves working with critters!
NOTE - If you would like to see these in action and the videos in the blogpost don't work for you, check out my Instagram instead!
My first card uses the the new Bitty Borders stamp and Oh my Word - Thank you. I first started off creating a pastel striped background using Potato Chip, Key Lime, Confetti Cake, Pink Champagne and Lavender Glaze cardstock. I then used it do diecut the frame of my card. Then, I ink blended the clouds on the theatre fold flaps using Set the Scene Cloud Stencil Strips and Confetti Cake ink. I also added some grass by diecutting Granny Smith cardstock using the Grassy Hills die. Then, I stamped and colored a bunch of images from Bitty Borders and Spring Grumplings and placed them as shown below. Finally, I stamped sentiments from Oh My Word - Thank You and Big Grumpy using Confetti Cake ink to finish it off :)

My second card is perfect for the special friend in your life! I first started off by creating a comic background by ink blending Blue Raspberry, Mint Julep and Confetti Cake dye inks and then stamping the Dizzy Dots background using Blue Raspberry. I then used the City Skyline die to create a skyline backdrop using Oreo and Mushroom cardstock. Later, I stamped and colored images from My Super Hero using alcohol markers and colored pencils. For the 'Hello' on top of the card, I used the two center pieces from the Theater Fold Frame and ink blended them using Blue Raspberry and Confetti Cake. I then heat embossed sentiments from Oh My Word Hello and My Super Hero. Finally, I created my Theatre fold card base using Cherry Pop and Blueberry cardstock and adhered all the images and elements to make this super cool card :)

My final card is yet another one of mine vibrant colors on cardstock cards! For this one, I simply ink blended the edges of Blue Corn cardstock with Blue Corn ink and splattered some white ink and liquid shimmer. Then, I stamped and die cut the Seasonal Sprig images and colored them using colored pencils. As these were stamped using black ink, I drew over the stamped outline using a white gel pen. For some reason, I didn't like coloring on white embossed images as the white was too bold for me. If you like to skip drawing over the outline, you can always heat emboss on Sugar Cube cardstock using white embossing powder and then simply color the images. I then finished it off by adding a diecut sentiment from Oh My Word Happy Birthday and some Bits and Pieces White Rhinestones.
